Documentary filmmaking

I have written, directed, filmed and edited documentaries and documentary series for broadcasters and independent productions. My work includes Mirror-touch synaesthesia: Feeling other people's pain for BBC Reel, the making-of documentary for season four of Call My Agent! (Dix pour cent) for France Télévisions, and documentaries.
I have also filmed and edited the documentary series Invincibles for FTV Slash and Art Connects for Aphotic Theatre.
I hold a Master's degree in Journalism from ISFJ Paris and trained in film production at Vancouver Film School. My background also includes studies in English literature at the Sorbonne, as well as training in documentary writing and directing and camera work.

Editing

I have worked as a freelance editor and assistant editor, editing documentaries, reality television, music, travel, corporate and social media videos in France, Australia, Canada and Malta. My credits include the documentary Vancouver x Fun City, episodes of The House of Streams, and the documentaries Union Street and The Art of Dance, on which I worked as an assistant editor.
My experience also spans writing and filming, giving me a hands-on understanding of how stories develop from the initial idea through production and into the edit.
I particularly enjoy unscripted projects, where the story is still taking shape in the edit. I approach editing as a storytelling process: finding structure, rhythm and the details that bring a narrative to life.
Having played the piano for 10 years, I also bring a longstanding familiarity with rhythm and pacing.
My editing tools include Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X and Dalet.

Digital video and social media

I have written, filmed and edited videos for France Télévisions, Euronews and BuzzFeed Australia, as well as for French and Canadian media and companies. My work includes interviews, reels, teasers, travel videos, artist portraits and on-camera videos. For France Télévisions, I created interviews, reels and teasers for documentary and fiction projects. At Euronews, I wrote, filmed and edited on-camera videos connected to the documentary series Algeria Tomorrow and Explore Algeria. For BuzzFeed Australia, I created travel content and videos. I have also created interviews and videos for clients including Duolingo, Relais & Châteaux and Notre Temps, and written, filmed and edited artist portraits for Artistiquement Riche.

Production

My experience extends beyond directing and editing to working within production teams.
I have coordinated French and international television programmes, including Ink Master, C à vous and programmes for Yahoo!. In Canada, I worked as a third assistant director on feature films such as Seagrass and The Island Between Tides.

Translation and subtitling

I work as an independent English-to-French translator for clients including Netflix, Disney and National Geographic. My work includes translating and subtitling television programmes and feature films.
